Some weddings simply make you smile from beginning to end, and Courtney and Andrew's Black Iris Estate wedding was exactly that. Filled with genuine laughter, joyful hugs, colorful summer florals, and the sweetest moments shared with family and friends, their day felt effortlessly beautiful. From the ceremony in the Willow Chapel to an elegant reception inside the mansion, every moment reflected exactly who they are together.
The morning began inside Black Iris where excitement filled every room. Soft sage green bridesmaid dresses paired beautifully with colorful summer florals overflowing with blush, peach, lavender, cream, and touches of blue. The fresh floral palette added warmth and romance while perfectly complementing the timeless architecture of the estate.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding wasn't just how beautiful everything looked. It was how everyone interacted. Family members were constantly laughing, hugging, wiping away happy tears, and soaking in every moment together. Those are always my favorite weddings to photograph, and the emotion naturally shines through every image.
Their ceremony took place inside the Willow Chapel at Black Iris Estate, where natural light poured through as Courtney walked down the aisle. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows in one of the most peaceful ceremony spaces in Indianapolis.
After officially becoming husband and wife, we explored the grounds of Black Iris Estate for portraits. These two made my job easy. Whether they were laughing together, twirling across the front lawn, or simply holding hands, every photo reflected the joy they shared to be husband and wife.
As guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the mansion was transformed for the reception. Elegant tables were adorned with colorful floral arrangements, glowing candlelight, and thoughtful details that created an inviting atmosphere for dinner and dancing.
