Belle and Chad’s Classic Winter Wedding at Scottish Rite Cathedral

There is truly nothing more romantic than a winter wedding at Scottish Rite Cathedral. Cold air, cozy spaces, and candlelight that makes everything feel softer and a little more magical. Belle and Chad’s wedding day had all of that and more. Their celebration unfolded in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and every part of it felt like a real life love story. Think black tie elegance, happy tears, and a ballroom that looked so beautiful it made everyone melt a little.  It was the kind of celebration that reminds you why winter can be such a breathtaking season to say I do. The air is crisp, the city feels a little quieter, and everything has that soft winter glow.

Belle and Chad began their day at The Alexander Hotel. One of the best getting ready locations in the city for winter weddings, it has modern architecture, big windows, and tons of natural light. After the tearful first look, We explored the hotel for portraits and let them soak in those quiet moments together before the rush of the day began.

Once it was time to leavev for the ceremony, everyone made their way to St. John’s Catholic Church in downtown Indianapolis. St. John’s is such a beautiful church with soaring ceilings, rich detail, and warm lighting.

There is something irresistible about the mix of cold weather and warm spaces and Belle and Chad embraced every beautiful part of it. The reception was held at Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. This iconic Indy venue was the perfect backdrop for this elegant winter affair.

Dinner, toasts, and dancing followed and there was no shortage of tears or laughter. After that, their live band kept the party going and the dance floor never emptied. Everyone was ready to celebrate these two.
